About Us
WHERE IT ALL BEGAN
The Breast Unit Charity began fundraising in April 2003, with Mr Ashraf Patel MBE at its helm. With the help of patients, their families and friends, over five million pounds has been raised to support patients being treated at Then Princess Alexandra Hospital NHS Trust. Over 80% of these funds have helped the team conduct 44 breast cancer clinical trials with many trialled drugs being approved for standard care.
